Annalee & Brent’s Carmel-by-the-sea Engagement Session

I couldn't be happier after I saw that Annalee and Brent reached out to me for their Carmel-by-the-sea engagement session! Carmel-by-the-sea is always a favorite of mine! There's nothing like this small city in Monterey County, just a short drive from Big Sur! Another favorite location of mine to capture engagements! Carmel is known for its incomparable white sand, and dog friendly beaches! Right after Annalee and Brent told me they were going to bring their puppy along for their engagement session I knew Carmel was the perfect place for them!

There's nothing Carmel can't offer you from checking out the small shops downtown to running around on the beach feeling the sand between your toes. Picturesque scenic roads and natural beauty are two more things to love here in Carmel. I loved being able to capture Annalee and Brent's engagement session in this charming town.

Carmel-by-the-sea Engagement 

Annalee and Brent’s engagement was the most gorgeous evening session! Just picture the ideal evening to be cozy at the beach, that's exactly what we got! Annalee and Brent were a blast to photograph. It was fun learning about their calm and introverted characters and how sweet they were. We were able to express who they are as a couple through these photos!

I always aim to capture feeling over posing as it gives a much more candid approach. I have a passion for making photographs that help you remember the way it felt and I believe we were able to get that for Annalee and Brent! 

As mentioned above, I like to take a candid approach, letting things unfold naturally and capturing them in all of their perfect imperfection. You should be in love with the experience in front of my camera just as you'll love your gallery!

Couple Portraits 

One of my favorite moments of the evening was walking up the hillside and seeing the beach below and the main character, the ocean. As the sun set Annalee and Brent held each other intimately, it was a beautiful sight. This was the picturesque moment that I was waiting for! They were getting lost in their own world, soaking in every moment of being engaged.
