Lindsey & Nathan’s Intimate Glacier National Park Elopement
Holy mooooly this location!! When Lindsey and Nathan reached out to me wanting to have a Glacier National Park elopement I was internally screaming! Glacier National Park goes HARD!! It was crazy to see the landscapes that we did and everywhere we got to explore throughout the day! It was so serene! This national park is honestly a perfect place for a cozy mountain wedding in my opinion!
Glacier National Park Elopement Location
Glacier National Park is one of the most amazing locations in Montana! It looks otherworldly and is beautiful all year round! If you’ve ever thought about having a mountain wedding then I’d highly recommend having your elopement here. This National Park is a “heaven on earth” kind of location. You not only fall in love with the scenery and overall location but you get to fall in love with your partner all over again in a breathtaking place.
Couples Love Story
Lindsey and Nathan met the week after Lindsey was laid off from her job in the midst of COVID. She says that she was in a place of “chaos” not knowing what her future was going to look like. All she knew was that she was ready to focus on herself and do what she wanted. After Lindsey and Nathan’s first “frate” as she calls it, a friend date, she knew that he was going to be her lifelong partner.
Eight months later Nathan proposed to Lindsey at The Grand Canyon, 3 months after his father unexpectedly passed away. She said that this hardship they faced “truly formed us as a couple and solid partners for each other”.
After hearing Lindsey and Nathan’s incredibly touching love story I was excited to capture their Glacier National Park elopement day as I knew they had a such strong love for each other. It was going to be one of the most special days yet!
“When I look back on our day, as we look through photos and video, I feel like we have something truly unique here. Not only in the setting, but in the fact that I can truly remember every part of the day in my mind. The photo of me laughing as he’s reading his vows…I remember exactly what he said and why I laughed. I remember the conversation we had as we hiked 4 miles in our wedding gear, about what our lives would be like and what we wanted for our future. I don’t think that every bride has that joy and clear memory of the love that surrounded her and her groom on their wedding day, and we have that.” - Lindsey in the Rocky Mountain Bride article.
Elopement Itinerary
Lindsey and Nathan decided to elope with the intention of focusing solely on themselves and what made them happy. They wanted a day that felt right and authentic to them and Glacier National Park was the perfect location for them as they've always wanted to visit. It was the perfect elopement location for them to kick the traditional wedding to the curb and focus on the freedom that elopements give.
We started Lindsey and Nathan’s Glacier National Park elopement day by getting ready photos. I loved capturing Nathan helping Lindsey get into her dress as they were already full of laughter and smiles. After the getting-ready photos, we headed to a remote beach in Glacier National Park for Lindsey and Nathan’s vow exchange and elopement ceremony.
Elopement Ceremony
Lindsey and Nathan had Nathan's Dad's bible with them as a representation of him. They read some verses together in a very sweet moment and read their vows to each other. Had Nathan’s father been alive he would have been the one marrying both of them. But instead having his bible, “felt like a little piece of him incorporated in our day”. After they said “I do” they chugged local Montana beers to celebrate. This was such a fun, candid moment to capture between the two of them, just being uniquely them.
Towards the end of their Glacier National Park elopement day, we hiked an insane 6-mile hike up to Avalanche Lake. Lindsey did it all in her dress, in the rain! She was such a badass! And even though they were soaked, Lindsey and Nathan had such a good time at the end of it all. It was all SO beautiful!!
In the Rocky Mountain Bride article, Lindsey says, “Even dirty, rain-soaked, and in hiking boots. I remember every moment. Because it was just Nathan and me. We focused on each other and our marriage. It felt perfect, and I want to encourage every bride that is on the fence to do what feels right for them, take the plunge. You won’t regret it!”.
Client Love
"Cambria is a dream. I'm so grateful to be able to say that I gained a friend from this whole experience! Cambria conducts herself professionally with such grace, joy, and kindness. It truly feels from the beginning like you're just spending time with a friend. We laughed, she helped us remember special memories from our season of dating and she captured my husband and I so authentically true to who we are. She also was willing to come all the way out to Montana to hang with us and shoot our wedding elopement. I cried seeing the photos. I've never seen anything like them, and the compliments we received from friends and family were endless...
If you want to be comfortable, have a blast, and receive photos that feel so natural and emote the love and joy you are truly feeling, Cambria, is for you. Well....Cambria is for everyone. And that's just facts. Will recommend her to anyone. You cannot make a better decision!" - Lindsey
