How to have a Casa Romantica Wedding in San Clemente

Casa Romantica in San Clemente is a dream venue with breathtaking views, beautiful ceremony and reception spaces, and countless photo opportunities. I recently had the pleasure of photographing Krystal & Josh’s Casa Romantica wedding here in March, and it was an unforgettable experience.

Getting to your Casa Romantica Wedding

Getting to Casa Romantica is a breeze. If you’re coming from Los Angeles, take I-5 South. Exit onto CA-1 S/CA-73 S toward San Juan Capistrano/San Diego, then take Exit 1B to merge onto N El Camino Real toward San Clemente. Turn right onto Avenida Granada, and you’ll find Casa Romantica at 415 Avenida Granada. Parking is straightforward, and once you arrive, you’re immediately struck by the charm and beauty of the place, it’s like stepping into a romantic, coastal paradise.

Ceremony Spaces

Casa Romantica offers several breathtaking spots for your ceremony! The Ocean Terrace is my personal favorite, with its stunning views of the Pacific Ocean. Krystal & Josh had their ceremony here, and it was absolutely magical. The sound of waves crashing in the background as they exchanged vows was just perfect. The look on their faces as they saw each other for the first time with that backdrop, was pure joy.

Reception Spaces

The Main Salon and Courtyard at Casa Romantica provide the perfect blend of indoor and outdoor space for your reception. The Courtyard is ideal for cocktails and mingling, with its lush greenery and twinkling lights. The Main Salon offers a cozy, elegant setting for dinner and dancing. The transition between the two spaces was SO seamless, making it easy for guests to move around and enjoy the night.

Krystal & Josh’s reception was a blast! They filled the space with laughter, dancing, and heartfelt toasts. The highlight for me was capturing their first dance in the Courtyard, it was such a beautiful moment, surrounded by friends and family.

Getting Ready Spaces

Casa Romantica offers lovely spaces for getting ready. The Bridal Suite is a serene spot with beautiful natural light, perfect for capturing those candid moments as you prepare for your big day. The Groom’s Room is equally charming, providing a comfortable and stylish space for the guys to get ready. Both rooms are conveniently located, making the transition from preparation to ceremony smooth and stress-free.

Best Photo Spots

Casa Romantica is truly a photographer’s dream! The gardens, the terrace, the arches, there’s absolutely no shortage of gorgeous backdrops. My favorite moment from Krystal & Josh’s Casa Romantica wedding was definitely the sunset photos on the terrace. The sky was bursting with colors, and they got to sit and soak in the view together. It was such an intimate moment that I was so honored to capture.

Where to Stay

San Clemente has plenty of great places to stay for you and your guests. The nearby Casa Tropicana Boutique Hotel offers charming rooms with ocean views, and the San Clemente Inn is a great option for larger groups. Both are just a short drive from Casa Romantica!

What to Do in the Area

San Clemente is one of my favorite cities here in SoCal! It has so much to do before or after your Casa Romantica wedding. Stroll along the pier, explore the local shops and cafes, or spend some time on the beach. For a bit of history, visit the Surfing Heritage and Culture Center. There’s seriously something for everyone!

Working with Krystal & Josh

Krystal & Josh were an absolute joy to work with. They were so sweet and excited about every aspect of their day. Their anticipation was contagious, making the entire experience so much fun. The highlight was definitely enjoying the sunset with them and witnessing the deep love they had for one another in such an intimate setting.
